First, understand the difference between floor and wall ceramics

Floor ones are heavier, denser, and meant to withstand the weight of people walking. Wall ceramics are thinner and often more slippery. All come in countless designs, colors, and patterns, and while you can use these floors on the wall, you shouldn't use walls on the floor.

Porcelain: Ideal for kitchen floors

Porcelain is a type of ceramic made of nonporous clay, sand, and glass; as a result, it is denser, permanently waterproof whether or not it's glazed, and a terrific choice for busy, heavy foot trafficked rooms, like the kitchen.
